What are PushAds?

 

PushAds are the new generation of Push-Up ads. This revenue-driving ad format consists of an eye-catching banner that’s fixed to the top or bottom of the screen to guarantee maximum viewability. With its premium positioning and scalable architecture, it allows publishers to continuously command high CPMs without negatively impacting the UX. The best of both worlds!

New Video Outstream feature on PushAds

 

Within the new PushAd, video is now part of the auction. We’ve introduced a Video Outstream format designed for mobile to increase CPMs and combine display and video demand in the same ad unit. It appears as a sticky player anchored to the bottom of the screen, ensuring visibility without impacting user experience.

We optimized the format for mobile (16:9 aspect ratio, max width of 360px) and applies a higher, region-based floor than standard display inventory, helping prioritize video demand while protecting revenue.

Since video delivers higher CPMs, it’s served first. If no video is available, the best-performing display ad fills the slot, ensuring almost no unsold impressions.

After running an A/B test across our network, publishers saw that PushAds delivered a 7.7% increase in ad impressions and an 8% uplift in fill rate compared to PushUp ads. Additionally, in terms of revenue, we noticed an increase of +0.3%, indicating parity between the two formats. Those who tried PushAds with the Video Outstream feature saw an eCPM uplift of +69.8% and revenue increase of +26.7% on the same inventory.
