Google has recently shared that they are currently testing two new features in Google Search Console. <strong>They are introducing a <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/developers.google.com\/search\/blog\/2026\/06\/gen-ai-performance-reports\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Search Generative AI performance report<\/strong><\/a><strong> and a <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/support.google.com\/webmasters\/answer\/16908024\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>control <\/strong><\/a><strong>to block your content from generative AI search features.<\/strong> The report has been designed to help website owners understand their site\u2019s visibility within the generative AI features on Search and <a href=\"https:\/\/refinery89.com\/fr\/comment-augmenter-votre-trafic-avec-google-discover-webinaire-complet\/\">Discover<\/a>, while the toggle helps them gain more control over where their content appears.<\/p>\n<p>Both new features are starting to be tested on a subset of website owners in the UK before Google expands them globally.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Google Seach Console Search Generative AI performance report<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Google is launching a <a href=\"https:\/\/support.google.com\/webmasters\/answer\/16984139\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">generative AI performance report<\/a> in Google Search Console to provide impressions metrics within generative AI features on Search (AI Overviews and AI Mode) as well as generative AI features in Discover. It shows information about which pages appear in AI responses and in what countries. You\u2019ll be able to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Track how your organic impressions from Search generative AI experiences evolve over time.<\/li>\n<li>Identify which pages receive the most and least impressions from generative AI features.<\/li>\n<li>Gain insights into the sources of your generative AI impressions, such as device type and country.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><strong>What can you get in this report?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>This report shows data about how your site performs in generative AI features on Google with separate views for Search and Discover. You\u2019ll be able to track:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Impressions :<\/strong>\u00a0How often URLs from your site appeared in generative AI features in Google Search and Google Discover.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Pages<\/strong>\u00a0Check which URLs appeared within Google\u2019s AI features.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Pays :<\/strong>\u00a0Understand your visibility by country.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Appareils :<\/strong>\u00a0Identify the devices people are using when seeing your website (available for Google Search results): desktop, tablet, or mobile.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Dates:<\/strong>\u00a0Monitor your performance over time with hourly, daily, weekly, and monthly granularity.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Within the new report, you\u2019ll get a view like in the picture below. Note that this may be because you&#8217;ve\u00a0excluded your site from Search generative AI features. To make your site eligible for display in generative AI features, <a href=\"https:\/\/support.google.com\/webmasters\/answer\/16908024\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">check out this article<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><strong>New Search Engine IA Control<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the new report on Google Search, Google is also introducing <a href=\"https:\/\/support.google.com\/webmasters\/answer\/16908024\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">controls<\/a> that allow you to decide whether you want your content to appear in the generative IA search features on Search and Discover.<\/p>\n<p>If you opt out, your website will not receive traffic or impressions from Google\u2019s generative AI features. Early this year, we got the introduction of <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.bing.com\/webmaster\/February-2026\/Introducing-AI-Performance-in-Bing-Webmaster-Tools-Public-Preview\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">IA performance reports in Bing Webmaster Tools<\/a> and now Google is presenting its own solution.
