Junior Commercial Operations Manager Spain

What are we looking for?

The Junior Commercial Manager will be responsible for all aspects of digital advertising campaign management sold across the Refinery89 portfolio of sites and will play a major role in expanding our business in Spain and LATAM. The ideal candidate has proven experience with ad trafficking and reporting, and a curiosity about the media landscape and digital advertising technologies. Plus, to help us expand into Spain, you are responsible for the first part of the sales process also known as inside sales: researching, prospecting, and qualifying leads. As you grow into your role and diverse portfolio you will soon start crafting personalized propositions, resolving buyer objections and negotiating terms to…close!

Your tasks will vary but generally include:

  • Campaign management
  • Continuously monitor, optimize and report on ad-performance across platforms
  • Proactively initiating new campaign set ups, ideas and solutions to optimize our business and reach (campaign) KPI’s
  • Always prioritize for highest value opportunities; profitable results
  • Create inventory and revenue forecasts
  • Maintaining (operational) contact with commercial partners
  • Prospect and develop and close business with a wide range of agency and advertiser accounts to increase our campaign count
  • Building a healthy pipeline and prioritize for highest value opportunities
  • Update lead scoring and prospect interaction in PipeDrive CRM to ensure efficient lead management
  • Become a trusted contact and develop strong, mutually beneficial relationships with prospects and clients in a large and diverse portfolio built by yourself
  • Interact with prospects via e-mail and phone; you have no problem with cold calling!
  • Up and cross selling like it's easy
  • Research accounts, identify key players, generate interest and develop accounts to stimulate opportunity
  • Work closely with colleagues to ensure campaign KPI’s are met
  • Ensure maximum client satisfaction through excellent service and communication
  • Run demos and give presentations
  • Craft or optimize convincing sales decks, rate cards and personalized value propositions
  • Be a brand ambassador of Refinery89 in the market

We are looking for an energetic and pro-active person with relevant experience and connections or an amazing can-do mentality that is readily available in Madrid or willing to relocate. You can work independently, do not mind having flexible working hours, have a love for digital advertising and are analytical, organized and precise.

What we expect from you:

  • 1+ years of experience, with good knowledge of digital media metrics and web analytics.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of digital advertising ecosystem, formats, KPI's and technologies such as header bidding (SSP's, Pre-bid, Amazon TAM, Google OB)
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • Good knowledge of Excel
  • High level of English, you can passively follow conversations from your colleagues and don't miss anything that is discussed at the office
  • Native Spanish
  • Commercial mindset, passion for your product and company and can-do mentality
  • Strong attention to detail - accurate data gathering, insightful analysis, ability to handle tactical details with detailed execution
  • Excellent collaboration and project management skills required
  • Ability to quickly learn new technology and translate the features of a range of products into business benefits
  • You know how to handle rejection, and can turn conversations around in a positive way
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with strong communication, collaboration, negotiation, closing and consultative presentation skills
  • Self-motivated, open minded and comfortable with working autonomously
  • Desire to work in a changing, fast-paced start up/scale up, you are ambitious!

Pros

  • Experience with several digital marketing and advertising systems (e.g. GAM, Facebook Ads, Prebid, Twitter, AppNexus, Rubicon, Teads, Viralize or other similar systems)
  • Experience with Google Data Studio or Amazon equivalent;
  • Experience at a publisher sales house, trading desk, ad-tech company or digital agency.
  • Experience in an ad ops (ad operations) role working with a header bidding setup.
  • Sales experience in digital media or advertising
  • Relationships with media agencies or advertisers
